As any seasoned traveller will tell you, there are many interesting, historic or cultural cities around the world but few will disagree with the view that it is hard to beat the iconic metropolis that is New York City. From architecture to history to music to theatre, film and television - there's something for everyone in the city that never sleeps.
Whether you are exploring the city on foot, on the top of an open-air bus or by any other means, be sure to look out for the brown coloured street-name signs. These denote an area of historic, architectural or cultural significance and will be marked according to the particular area, such as Greenwich Village, The Cast Iron District, Garment District, Times Square, Central Park. Enjoy your visit and while in each location why not 'mouseover' the image for more information on the area. |
